We live and work in this farmhouse. We coltivate olive-trees and produce I.G.P. extra virgin olive-oil which is guarantee for its high quality. We breed poultry that we use for agriturism's cookery.
We've got a kitchen-garden and a orchard, so we produce marmalade, jam and sauce.
Here, sourrounded by the Tuscan country quietness and colour, you can find hospitality in the ancient farmhouse from the 1860 lately restructured. The apartaments have their own private entrance, on demand you can enjoy typical tuscan cookery and tasting of our products. Very important: gluten free cookery (on demand).
Our effort is the high quality of our products: IGP Toscano di Montalbano extra virgin olive-oil jam and marmalade vegetables sauces fruits and vegetables eggs poultry: gees, ducks, faraonas, turkeys, rabbits You can taste our products and buy them on saturday afternoon on our farmhouse by phone-booking. We've got 2 apartaments + 1 bedroom: - at the ground-floor ther is the apartament "Iris" for 2-3 people; - at the first floor there is the apartament "Lavanda" for 2-6 people; - the bedroom "Primula" at the first floor is for 2 persons.
The apartament "Iris" is at the ground floor and can house 2-3 people. There are a large bedroom (double + single beds), dining-room, kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. A bed for your child (0-1 years old) on demand. Everything is included in price (bathtowels, bed linen, everything you nedd for your Italian breakfast).
The apartament "Lavanda" is at the first floor and can house 2-6 people. It is composed by a very roomy large living-room with a sofa/double bed, kitchen with a fire place, terrace, a bathroom with a bathtub, a big bedroom with a double bed and bunk bed. From the two windows of the living-room, you can enjoy an enchanting view on the Arno valley. A bad for your child (0-1 years old) on demand. Everything is included in price (bathtowels, bed linen, everything you need for your Italian breakfast).
The bedroom "Primula" is at the first floor; there are a double bed (or two single bed on demand) and a bathroom with a shower. A bed for your child (0-1 years old) on demand. You can have breakfast on the terrace or in the living-room of the farmhouse. Everything is included in the price. Half board on demand. The apartaments and the bedroom have forniture, which is typical tuscan called "poor art", from the beginning of the XX century.
At your arrival you'll find a sample of farm typical products (on demand also gluten free one!) and coffee, tea, chocolate, milk, fruit juice, cookies, honey, extra vergin olive oil + jams.
On demand: half board. For all our customers: the garden, the court, the terrace where everyone can eat or sit in the sun in front of a wonderful view, the oven, the barbecue, a little library with book, magazine and parlour game, for a pleasant stay and the ping pong, the bike .... Dogs are welcome! They can stay with you in the apartament.
What you find spending your holidays with us, is first of all, the deep contact with the countryside, than the animals, our traditions and our typical products. You can enjoy with us the preparation of jam, or learn how to make bread and pizza! We organize cultural events like "the painting day" or "the photos day", too.
You have like example the inspiring view! Our cookery is based on natural products! In February you can taste the "Schiacciata alla Fiorentina", which is typical of this period. Or in April you may taste the delicious "Crostata with cottage cheese"! So that we use meat and vegetables when it is the best period and their quality is the best.
Our best dishes are pasta hand-made, grilled meat, meat in the hoven and the cakes. Here you can find the cookery without gluten ad it will surprise you with its tastings! As we are very interested in the usage of ingredients belonging to the tuscany traditional cookery, we have find out very easy the approach to the cookery without gluten: we use all kind of cereals, which are tastefull and good for the health.
The 2nd Saturday and the 3rd Sunday of the month we cook without gluten different recipes. If requested we organize lunch or dinner without gluten. However we need a booking within 48 hours before because we prepare bread, pasta and cakes and it needs more time than with the ingredients with gluten.
Our agriturism is monitored by A.I.C. (Italian Celiac Association), and we are present in the guide of "The Eating Out Project" published by A.I.C.. The participation to many courses (since 2005), among which the first one organized by the Local Health Unit of Pistoia, Prato e Firenze (in Dicember 2006), let us became a member of the chain of this project. We are informed about celiac disease and allowed to serve gluten-free menu, for yours and ours tranquillity. We organize specific events about gluten-free cookery, during which we can prepare, together, bread and cakes.
